Heroes from all across Glasgow came together to create Glasgow Women’s Aid’s new book, the ‘My Big Journey’ Journal, which will soon be available for purchase. We helped them out by supplying some promotional materials for the virtual book launch. Read on to find out more about this fantastic project.
Over the past week, Glasgow Women’s Aid have been hosting a virtual book launch event for ‘My Big Journey Journal’, created completely by Glasgow Women’s Aid staff and young people. This journal helps children who have been affected by domestic abuse and have been placed into refuge document their journey through refuge and into their new home.
The ‘My Big Journey Journal’ also guides children to celebrate their successes at a time where they are slowly starting to regain safety.
For this project, we worked with GWA to supply them with social media graphics inspired by the artwork provided by young people, provided them with some super materials to be sent out to participants in the virtual launch, and designed a mailer that was sent out to their contacts to promote the launch.
The launch started last Monday (8th February), with videos being added to their YouTube channel at 4PM daily. These videos included segments from supporters all over Scotland discussing the importance of this resource and celebrating the launch.
Glasgow Women’s Aid have also launched a fundraiser alongside this event which started Friday 12th February on JustGiving. To view the #GWA Superhero Support fundraiser, follow this link.
As always, we are absolutely delighted to be able to help Glasgow Women’s Aid to be able to deliver their vital services. We provide design work for various charity and third-sector clients across Glasgow and Scotland.
