National Theatre of Scotland heard about our media buying team through their colleagues in the arts sector. We met with them earlier this year for a chat and to discuss how we could assist them. They then tasked us with helping them promote their latest show across the North of Scotland.

The play “The Cheviot, The Stag and The Black, Black Oil” became our first project for this client. From the highland clearances to the oil boom, this is the universal tale of how the greed of a few blights the lives of many. It is one of the most highly regarded Scottish plays of all time.

We planned out a targeted media campaign across the North of Scotland to drive ticket sales. Drawing in audiences in more rural communities of Scotland was important and relevant to the themes of this particular play. With the more rural parts of Scotland still holding strong readership numbers, we ran ads in local newspapers over Oban, Orkney, Shetland and the Highlands.

As a result of ticket sales being so high, extra dates have been added across Scotland. A big thanks to all at National Theatre of Scotland for this opportunity to help them!
