Based in Paisley and working across Scotland to help children and young people, Kibble Fostering came to us to update their brand design.
Feeling their association with Kibble’s main reform services was hindering their ability to attract new foster carers to the service, the Kibble Fostering team reached out for help. The aim was to create a brand for the fostering service that would allow them to speak more purposely to their target audience and their unique journeys within the foster care system. In turn helping to boost lead generation, build brand awareness and ultimately recruit more foster carers to the service, without totally detaching from the existing Kibble brand.
Concept
Using the existing Kibble branding as a base, we created a new logo mark that acted as an extension of Kibble’s existing branding. We subtly customised Kibble’s existing typeface to make it appear softer and more approachable. We created a new colour palette too that would appeal to both children and adults. We elevated the existing Kibble “K”, utilising this as a graphic element that could be used throughout marketing materials.
Brand Message
The new brand’s messaging is centred around the theme of support within the fostering journey. This speaks to the dedication and care that Kibble Fostering offers not only to young people, but to foster carers.
Photography
It was important that the theme of support was reflected throughout all of the brand materials from copywriting right through to the types of photography used. We created a bank of images that were informal and friendly. They convey support through actions associated with family life; having a chat, a walk or comforting hand on a shoulder.
