A Glasgow based charity supporting refugees asked us to help create a new brand and website. The organisation needed our expertise to help them find their voice and lead the way for change.

They were set up by a group concerned by the destitution faced by asylum seeking safety in Scotland. They provide refugees and people seeking asylum with support, especially those with no recourse to public funds. The charity builds connections between people and uses what they learn to campaign for change.

Their team led by Chief Executive, Ekta Marwaha, wanted a new name that better suited the organisation and its core values and they felt Refugee Sanctuary Scotland did just that. With the new name locked in, the Cole AD team got to work conducting research into this sector. We gathered insights and developed a brand strategy for creating a fresh new visual identity for RSS.

The challenge was helping this charity to increase their brand awareness. To help give a voice to the amazing work they do in partnership with other organisations, and to advise on the support they can offer.

Often when creating a new brand, the Cole AD creative team will explore several routes before deciding on a final design. Working collaboratively we explored 3 different options and visual approaches for the new RSS brand. Whilst each option displayed below has a totally unique appearance and tone of voice, they all work towards the same goal.

The client has selected a new brand from the options we presented. Moving ahead with a soft launch of the brand, a new website designed by us is coming soon too.

Our thanks to Ekta Marwaha and her team for this opportunity.
